Reusable targeting groups used across every module. Add products to a Product List once, reference it in dozens of rules. Change the list — all rules update automatically. Same concept for User Lists.
Group products by name, category, tag, or individual selection. Referenced as a target in Discount Rules, Inventory Rules, Private Catalogs, Hide Price, and more.
Group customers by manual selection or by role. Use as a targeting option in any rule instead of (or in addition to) User Roles. Great for cross-role VIP groups.
Any rule referencing a list automatically picks up changes. Add a product to "New Arrivals" — all "New Arrivals" discount rules and restrictions apply immediately.
Rules can target both a User Role AND a User List simultaneously (intersection or union). "This rule applies to Wholesale Gold users who are also in the VIP List."
Build dynamic lists based on product category or tag — products added to those categories automatically join the list. No manual upkeep needed.
The same "High Margin Products" list can be excluded from discount rules AND made private in Private Catalogs AND have stricter inventory rules — all pointing at the same list.
Go to B2B Commerce Kit → Product Lists → Add List. Give it a clear name like "Clearance Items," "New Arrivals," or "Restricted Products."
Choose "Manual" to hand-pick products, or "Dynamic" to include all products matching a category or tag — dynamic lists update automatically as you add products to those categories.
In any module (Discount Rules, Inventory Rules, Private Catalogs etc.), when setting the product target, select "Product List" and choose your list from the dropdown.
Go to B2B Commerce Kit → User Lists → Add List. Give it a name like "VIP Accounts," "West Coast Distributors," or "Q3 Trial Customers."
Search and add users individually, or import by role. A user can appear in multiple User Lists simultaneously.
In any module, when setting the user target, select "User List" and choose your list. Lists can be used alongside or instead of User Roles.
| List Name | Type | What it contains | Used in |
|---|---|---|---|
Clearance Items | Product List (manual) | Products you want to discount or clear | Discount Rules — percentage off clearance |
New Arrivals | Product List (dynamic — "New Arrivals" tag) | Any product tagged "new-arrival" | Discount Rules — introductory offer |
Restricted Products | Product List (manual) | Age-restricted or licence-required products | Private Catalogs, Hide Price |
VIP Accounts | User List (manual) | Your top 20 key accounts regardless of tier | Discount Rules — extra 5% for VIPs |
Trial Customers | User List (manual) | New customers in a 90-day trial period | Order Restrictions — higher minimum |
WooCommerce categories organise products for customers browsing the store. Product Lists are a B2B targeting tool — they don't affect catalogue structure at all. You can create a "High Margin Products" list that includes products from six different categories, and use it as the target for pricing or visibility rules — without changing how those products are categorised on the front end.
Yes. A product can appear in as many lists as needed. If you have "Clearance Items" AND "Restricted Products" both containing the same product, rules targeting either list will apply to it. This is by design — lists are flexible groupings, not exclusive categories.
